These are great leggings. I'd personally never wear them alone, as the material is sturdy but because they're cotton, they are lighter than, say, a pair of Nike or Lululemon workout pants. I wear with mini-skirts (bodycon type). They aren't "thin" per se. If you're 20 and have a perfect body, sure, you could wear these alone. But you could wear anything! The waist band is more fitted than other leggings, but these fit me perfectly. At a size XL, they come to my belly button and I'm a 34" waist, 5'9", 180 pounds. They'll continue to fit even if I were 160 I'm sure. I wear a 33" inseam, and these are long, hooray! I'm sure they'd be long enough for those who wear a 34", even 35" inseam. They keep their shape - don't bag at the knee with wear. My last pair of American Apparel leggings lasted me about 5 years, wearing them a couple of times a month.I have been looking for replacement of the City Lights leggings I bought here about 4 yrs ago (that I've loved but we're getting kind of thin) since last year but found these and they are great. Either they are thicker than the CLs or the CLs have gotten even thinner than I thought. When I took them out of pkg I thought, these are gonna be too small, I ordered Large and I'm 5'6 and 154 lbs and I've gotten thick in waist in my older age, about 34 to 35, and hips at about 39-40. But they stretched and don't feel too binding at waist, and fit like a glove everywhere else. I'm very happy with these and love they are a substantial weight cotton with spandex. Buy them, you won't be sorry. I've got other colors on my wish list now.These seem pretty good, I've washed them once and they're still nice and long. If you don't have skinny legs, though, I bet they're going to feel quite tight. I wish more of the colors came in the bigger sizes, it's frustrating to see them there and unavailable.Update: I bought another pair, black this time, and it's good too. I'll repeat that these may be uncomfortable, including around the waist, if you're not on the slim side. They no longer offer the royal blue in large, so that's even fewer colors.I'm 5'2" and 105 lbs. I ordered the XS and they are larger than expected. The fabric is very nice and stretchy, its heavyweight cotton/spandex. I am a seamstress so I was able to make the legs and waist narrower. I also had to shorten the extra long legs. If you don't have alteration capabilities, I advise not ordering the XS is you are a true XS.I read the reviews, several said smaller than expected, but one lady, who is my size ( W16-18). said she got into an extra-large, but they were fine..I based my purchase on that review...however, when the leggings arrived, it was clear to me that they were very thin , cheap material, not made in USA ( because sizes are off with regards to foreign-manufactured clothing ) and, this XL was comparable to an American size ( junior 9/10 ) Sincerely, one could find a thicker material at KMart, and lesser price..When I think of what I paid for these grey thin cheap too tiny leggings ( too short, also ) I feel cheated...I seldom have time to review, only those items that are (. 5-star, or 1-star ) but, felt compelled to warn others of this item...If you are a junior ( 9/10 PETITE ) who is no taller than 5' tall, and you are shopping for leggings to wear while taking trash to dumpster in Brazil, then, buy these cheap grey leggings...The only positive things I can say are. ( the color is good, and the mailing pkg. was adequate, shipping time normal ) just overall disgusted, just one more reason why I am not spending cash on Amazon like I used to...I received my order as indicated. I ordered the white leggings and they ran true to size. I do wish they had been a little thicker, but I only ordered them to wear with long tunic tops. .I haven't worn them yet, but I'm sure I will get plenty of wear out of them. The quality seems to be very good..I plan to order in more colors. 5 STARFit is ok but rather than the typical leggings I expected, these leggings have a large diamond shaped piece of fabric in the crotch area that is not very flattering, because it does not have a smooth look to that area when worn (looks like permanent camel toe if you know what that means) and a similar look of something gone wrong on the backside. They are comfortable, so I will keep them and delegate them to the PJ category - not to be worn in public.I ordered these in White and Kelly Green XL and they fit me perfectly. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Every Fashionista needs a few pairs of sexy cute comfortable leggings in her arsenal of outfits. You can play them up or down. I'm 5'9 and half and thick on the bottom and they hug and fit my curves just the way I like it. The best part for all of my tall thick girls they go all the way to my ankles. The material is actually very thick but not to thick it's the right consistency for South Florida weather and light cold weather. If your looking for something thicker for the really cold season this may not be for you. I'm extremely happy with my purchase I'm ordering two more.I have ordered a 3 pack but was only send 1 pair of leggings. Then I was told that this price what I paid is only for one. Time wasters as now I have to send this back for a refund.Dont be fooled by this product.... baggy on the knees. Material really cheap. So disappointedComfy cute a bit long but that’s all niceThey feel more like a very light slim pair of pants since the elastic is not really apparent and they do not fit to form exactly.
